Yay for Daniel V. (whose idea I thought was really cool) and Daniel F. (who's just such an unbelievably adorable toady) and Diana (who's just got the cutest tiniest little itty bitty teeny weeny voice on the planet and I want to hug her and squeeze her and make a stuffed version of her for a mascot right now), and boo for Santino, who ... dude, shut UP with "They've never had sex before in their lives," because Marla's a mom and there's got to be somebody out there crazy enough to sleep with Lupe and if no one's ever slept with Diana, it proves men are stupid.

Okay, I think that covers everything up to the first commercial break. :)

All right, this commercial break, by team:

Daniel V./Andrae/Zulema: How scary is it that I hate two of the people on this team and yet I do think they're doing the best or second-best of all of the teams? It's all about the three of them working together well, and they're doing the best at that much of it. Daniel's laid-back, which works with Zulema's attitude and Andrae's nerves.

Daniel F./Chloe/Kara: You know, I expect everybody else on Daniel's team to complain about him regardless of whom he's with, because he's a great designer, but he's a complete spazz. And I think at least he lucked out with Chloe who, yeah, is being point-blank along with Kara in telling him that he needs to stop overdesigning and chill out, but at least she's being politely critical while only sporadically leaning towards a tolerable bitchy. Kara, meanwhile, is Kara, and she's this year's Vanessa, and I want her fed to lions.

Emmett/Santino/Nick: Emmett can't sew? Where the hell was I? Okay, so looking back on it, he didn't really sew a lot. And I think that he really is one of the designers who works better alone. Of course, I think Nick can work just fine with Santino because he's like that, although with Santino, it doesn't go both ways.

Marla/Diana/Lupe: I love Diana and Marla, and yet agree with Lupe. Go figure.

All I have to say this break is that I think I want to punch Diana's model as much as Emmett wants to punch Santino for trimming the lingerie now. (Oh, wait, that's Marla's model, isn't it? Why am I not surprised? I couldn't stand that model before she opened her big fat mouth.)

I'm really happy with Daniel V.'s team winning and Diana's team coming in second because those were my two favorite collections. I thought Diana's was prettier, but Daniel's was easier to wear and his team worked together better.

I think all of Santino's team members had good points, but honestly, shut it, General Zod Santino.

As for Daniel, they do have a point about the age of his collection and the fact that Daniel needs to diversify his design vision. But they're right -- Daniel owned up and took responsibility like he should. I think that's the thing with Daniel. He's hard to handle and needs either major spazz control or to be left alone to spazz by himself, but he understands that, and he understands that his leadership skills are not his strong suit.

And he is a sweet guy, really. Dorky, but sweet.

Next week: Designing for some young ingenue I couldn't identify because they took away her picture too fast, but wheee! Designers strutting their stuff! I gotta see that. :)

And goddammit, I genuinely wanted Daniel to stay. I loved that Daniel V won, though, because he's got this gigantic drama-negating aura that makes me like him a lot.

You know, up to a point, I was willing to put up with the "I need to be first" mentality because I could kind of understand it in a weird way. But he's spent the last few episodes ripping the other contestants more and more and just ... shut it, Zod.

I liked Daniel F. this season. He was really trying, you know? He wanted to be there and he was so grateful for every little crumb they gave him.

And I loved seeing Daniel V. at work because we finally got to see that not only is he capable, but he's really great and friendly and laid-back and kind of cute in a very odd way. Plus, he made me like Zulema and Andrae for an episode, which much mean he's got magical powers.

Santino's work has been severely devalued for me because he puts those damn frills on every single thing he's made so far. Okay, I don't remember much of his make it work dress thing, but it was likely much of the same.

I would have kept Daniel F. in just because of conduct. He makes Santino seem grossly unprofessional and that's just... not good. That and people might actually wear what he made for that collection. Instead of running away.

Daniel V. is now my Project Runway crush. Because he seems like he's so damn nice and calm and he can deal with crazy histronic people without letting them walk all over him.

Santino is totally the Wendy Pepper of this season. I hate him, I hate his designs, and I hate that he is such a diva.

Daniel Franco, on the other hand, is a classy, classy man. I know what they were saying with the old thing, but Santino's collection was just screaming "Don't sleep with me! I'm distracting you from my personality with frills!"

Santino's collection pissed me off and made me feel sorry for Emmett and Nick for having to be part of that. And when he said, "It's supposed to come off!" I wanted to punch him in the face. That's a dumb excuse, and he had to know it.

I really wish Nina would have gotten up and smacked him, because Nina is awesome and she deserved to do it.

I adored Daniel V's work. I thought Santino was just saying a big old "fuck you" to Heidi, even if he didn't say so.

Daniel F's work was just so bad, but he's so earnest. He would make a great tailor. A really great tailor. He is great technically and his stitching is sublime, but really, his range is limited. And he HAD to wish everyone their bliss at that last minute, dammit. Gah. But still, I liked him so much better this time around.

I still have the love on for Emmett.

I slowed the Tivo down to try to see the picture as it turned, and predictably, they had computer-frizzed the pic so it was unviewable. I'm trying to think of who it could be, someone NYC-based and all I could come up with was Cornelia Guest. Though by deb standards, she's practically elderly at this point, so no. Please let it not be Paris Hilton.

That just pissed me right off. Regardless of the "age" of the collection, it did turn out pretty, which is more than I can say for Santino's collection. I kept waiting for Emmett and Nick to say something about how piling on more notions was not going to make any of this any prettier, or at least to smack Santino upside the head for that stupid breakdown.

I'm really sad about Daniel Franco. And I think the judges were too, especially Heidi. It would have been so great for him to lose the first one and win the second. I thought it was insane that when they had the 6 people on the 2 losing teams out there, it was made up of possibly the 4 best designers - Santino (the fuckwad), Chloe, Daniel Franco, and Nick. And damnit, Daniel Franco's stuff is so classy! I mean, I know this week's stuff wasn't great, but damn if his presentation designs weren't awesome. And he's so nice. And happy. And he has big dreams. *sigh* Maybe we'll see him again soon on an episode of Celebrity Poker Showdown.

I'm POSITIVE they kept Santino on this week because Bravo wants him there for drama. You could tell they wanted him out. He's a good designer, but he's a fucking fuckwad.

Oh, and Diana's lingerie was HOTT.
