apocalypsosIt was a bad idea, but I took my Borders, Aeropostale, and Bath and Body Works gift cards and went out shopping. I knew the traffic was going to be bad, but sheesh. I bought three chicken planks and a medium soda at Long John Silver's, started driving towards Petsmart, and made it to about Perkins before I finished it all. Needless to say, that is a really, really short ride.
So let's see what I got ... I got three new paperbacks at Borders, and I probably would have hung out for a while but it was understandably packed. It had nothing on Aeropostale, though -- that line was wrapped all the way around the store, so I'm going to hold off a day or two. As for Bath and Body Works, I had a fifty-dollar gift card, but I only ended up spending less than half. Dude! They have body wash for kids that smells like root beer! So I got that and I got vanilla sugar body lotion, and now I can walk around smelling like a root beer float. ;) (I also very nearly bought a pack of shower gels because one of them smelled like maple syrup. I could have smelled like pancakes all the time! HEE. I think I like smelling like baked goods and sugary stuff way too much.)
Oh, and I got Emmett a dust bath. Now I'm just waiting for the little bugger to come out of hiding and use it. (And for the record, I really do want to post pics of him, but my computer is a rat bastard and won't let me download pics, among other things. ARGH. I really do need to either get the damn thing fixed or buy a new one.)
