The Great Fic Rec Challenge of 2006
Jan. 2nd, 2006 11:28 amSo, just for kicks and because I have a blast doing it, I decided that this year I'm going to do one fic rec for every day of the year. Three hundred and sixty-five fic recs for 2006, although probably in little clumps instead of one a day. (And if anybody else wants to do this, too, I highly encourage it, if only because I love knowing where the good fic is. ;))
Here's the first few:
The Hazards of Gametime, by
literarylemming (Firefly, River/Jayne) -- River knocks Jayne out. Hysterically funny and really hot, just like Rayne should be.
The Cure of Souls, by
_cee (Supernatural, Dean and Sam) -- More Dean-and-Sam-are-priests fic. The concept of it makes me so freaking happy, and the writing totally fits. It's like someone in the comments said -- they really are fighting a holy war of sorts, so the priests thing feels right.
An Inexplicable Tendency to Tap-Dance, by
sadiekate (Veronica Mars, Logan/Veronica) -- The fallout from the events of the last few episodes. Logan and Veronica's relationship is not perfect and never pretty, but I could totally believe this is what comes next for them.
That's The Way The Cookie Crumbles, by
permetaform (Stargate Atlantis, McKay/Sheppard) -- Awesome John/Rodney smut. The catch? They're cookies. Wait, don't go! Fucking gingerbread men ... literally! With icing nipples! It must be read ... oh, yes.
EDIT: Ooo, ooo! One more!
Extra Point, by
kageygirl (Stargate Atlantis, McKay/Sheppard) -- John and Rodney watch this weekend's Patriots/Dolphins game and react to Doug Flutie's awesome drop-kick. I don't even like football and I thought that was cool, so you can imagine the reaction out of those two. ;)

Date: 2006-01-03 02:09 am (UTC)This is my fic recs journal. I'm someone on your friends list who doesn't really want her recs journal to pop up as connected to her main username on searches. ;)
