The "You Need to Go" Collaborative Fic Effort. Oh, my God, YES. I love this. I know I swore I wasn't going to sign up for any more fic challenges, and ladybug218 already called dibs on Duncan Kane so I nearly had an excuse not to, but then I remembered tonight is Desperate Housewives night and I could really, really stand to kill Susan.

I am going to get fic finished today today if it kills me. I started something like five fics yesterday (although I didn't get very far on any of them), but it's not like I'm going anywhere today. Of course, it probably would have helped if I hadn't slept until practically noon. Argh.

I really need to rec something not Veronica Mars or Supernatural. (Well, those are the fic comms on my flist ... I can't help it.) Somebody rec me some good stuff written since the beginning of the year in other fandoms. I'm going to go through picfor1000 looking for stories, but first I want to kinda, you know, finish my assignment. *sigh*

Hee!! Well considering Duncan was one of the characters that spawned the idea... and considering I have a vested interest in the whole Duncan/Veronica relationship.... :)

I nearly called Piper, but then I realized that I don't want her to die, I just want her to stop going on her needing-a-normal-life tracks every once in a while. The rest of the time, I like her just fine.

I could stand to kill Kate off of Lost, now that I think of it. Actually, back in the first season when we heard that a castmember was dying, I toyed with the idea of a "Kill Kate -- Please!" campaign.

You know, they actually managed to kill off both of my favorite characters.

I read a really interesting Harry Potter piece on silverlake-f the other day. Called "The Other Tower," it deals with an original character, which I generally HATE with a passion. However, it's the delightful missparker who wrote it, and she always manages to make me fall in love with her ideas, even if I go in thinking that I'll hate it.

It starts off slightly rough, because, of course, it is an original character. But then it rocks. Plus, she's totally written the only Snape/Hermione I've ever read or liked, and there's a tiny allusion to something in this.
