You know those skinny scarfs? Turns out they make fabulous headbands when you don't have a rubber band to pull your hair back. Sure, I've spent the entire day feeling like one of Steven Tyler's microphone stands, but I suppose that's better than feeling like some other rock memorabilia, like, say, anything Scott Stapp's ever touched.

So, anyway, just got back from seeing Eight Below. OMG DOGGIES! That was my basic reaction. That, and a lot of whimpering and sniffling. It's like somebody at Disney had to do penance for making Snow Dogs. (Poor Paul Walker, though. All of the beautiful women he's co-starred with and he's got the best chemistry with a dog.)

And now ... I have amaretto. I have Coke. I have dirty thoughts about Dean and Sam. Let the Wincest writing commence.

Can you tell me if all the dogs survive in Eight Below? The Mom really wants to see it, but she's nervous that they won't all survive, and if one dies, she won't see it.

Unfortunately they don't all make it. It's still really good, though. (But yeah, my mother probably won't see it either if I tell her any of the dogs die.)

I'm seeing it with my mom on Thursday. I don't think I'll be telling her about the dead puppies. I couldn't get her to see March of the Penguins after I told her things.

I'm afraid to see Eight Below for fear soemthing will happen to the dogs and I'll cry hysterically.

But at the same time I want to see it because it looks so cute!

Oh, there's cuteness (although I think it's probably more apt to say sweetness and love and loyalty, because it's a man and his pack and it's great like that), but then there's the sad parts and yeah, things happen to the dogs and you do cry, but it is a pretty decent way to spend two hours even so.
