apocalypsos | February Fic Round-up

So, I'm doing this a day early, mostly because I don't think I'm going to get another fic done today (I'm dying to write that story with the line from Subtle Innuendo Follows as a prompt, but I'm not in the right frame of mind today to work on Wincest) and tomorrow I'm going on a job hunt and I'm not coming back until I find something that won't turn my blood pressure into a waterpark ride. (You know, writing for Supernatural wouldn't do that, and hell, I write enough about those boys as it is. I'm just pointing that out.)

Also, the "Ask Questions Later" deadline got pushed to March 4th, and thank God for that.

'Tis A Gift To Be Simple, My Ass -- Supernatural, Sam/Jess. Jess and Sam's relationship is a tapestry of lies.

The Secrets We Keep -- Supernatural, Sam and Dean. That first post-Nightmare plotbunny. Heh. That episode makes me so happy. *cuddles it*

Keep Saying It, It Might Come True -- Supernatural, Sam/Dean. Baby's first Wincest, because far too many of the events of Nightmare could not pass without smutty, smutty commentary. *giggles*

We All Make Wrong Turns -- Supernatural, Sam/Jess, John/Mary. Jess had to die, but why? Because I firmly believe there's more of a reason to the deaths of Jess and Mary than, "Let's fuck with the psychic kid."

Rings of Smoke Through the Trees -- Supernatural, Sam and Dean. During their separation, it's the little things that remind Dean and Sam of one another. I really want to be that "My character ..." meme for every one of the Winchesters and Jess (and the Impala, which I adore) just to point out that my Dean thinks of Sam every time he smells old books.

The Wild One -- Supernatural, Sam. Sam's lone fight in college. You know when you go back to read one of your stories, and you can't believe you wrote it? This is one of those. I seriously love this story to pieces, for the record, mostly because my Sam wasn't a perfectly normal college student no matter how much he wanted to be. *cuddles him*

Lies Do Not Become Us -- Supernatural, Mary/John. Mary's past is not the sad and lonely dream she told John it was. It's worse. I'm not sure which parent was keeping secrets, Mary or John, but I maintain that one of them wasn't entirely honest about their past. (Is there a crossover in which John was in a precursor to the Initiative? Because if not, then by God there should be.)

The Ashes Of Another Life -- Supernatural, Sam, Dean, and John. John's only doing what's best for his boys ... both of them. Am I the only one not disturbed by the fan spec that Sam might not be John's son? I mean, if it's a matter of Mary cheating on him, then yes, that disturbs me because I have a deep and abiding love for the Mary and John love story. But you just know the show's going to come down to Sam choosing his family over everything else, and I think I love that in a "You're my dad and I love you and I'm never going to leave you again!" kind of way. But not like that, because it's pervy. (Okay, so maybe a little like that, because I like the pervy.)

I'm Not Touching You (And Other Annoying Games Little Brothers Play) -- Supernatural, Sam/Dean. It's all about how you train with it, just like any other weapon. Dude, writing Wincest is hard (heh, I said "hard"), although that's mostly because you have to allow for time spent in your bunk.

Subtle Innuendo Follows -- Supernatural, Sam/Dean. There are things Dean doesn't want to think about in some situations, and Sam's one of them. I swear, if anybody else wants to use that one line as a fic prompt, feel free, because honestly.

One In The Morning and Kinda Fucking Wasted -- Project Runway RPS, Daniel V./Andrae. Because the reunion show never really shows you everything. And I have a feeling that when the let's-go-visit-the-designers-and-see-their-collections part of the series comes up this week, I'll so totally get another idea out of it. Ah, Daniel and Andrae, my other boys. ;)

So that makes fifteen stories so far this year, which means I only need another seven to write more than I did during all of last year. Of course, last year I didn't have Supernatural flinging plotbunnies at my head constantly.

I have jambalaya with Polish kielbasa in it and you don't. Trust me, you're twice as disappointed by that as you think you are. (I have enough for one more bowl of the stuff, and if I were smart, I'd give it to the person who writes me the hottest Supernatural or SPN RPS comment porn. *waves bowl of delicious hot jambalaya at friends list* You know you want eeeeeeeet ... ;))
