First we were getting a bonus. Then we were all getting great big fat bonuses. Now it turns out I'm not getting one because I was hired juuuuuuust this side of the deadline last year.

*headdesk*

This isn't a job. It's a psychological experiment run by monkeys.

I wonder if I can put a laptop on layaway using a bushel of bananas.

Unrelated to actual topic of post, I keep trying to figure out whether what's behind the kitten's head is background stuff or a great huge curly blond wig.

If it's the latter, then s/he's definitely got a reason to cry like that.

Yeah, that happened to me, once - I was working at a place for about six months as a temp, went full-time, but didn't qualify for a bonus because the six months hadn't officially been for the company. Gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside, doesn't it, to know how much you're appreciated?

I used to work at a place where they would pro-rate your bonus if you hadn't been there the full year or six months or whatever. That way you still got something.
