March fic roundup
Mar. 31st, 2006 03:41 pmYeah, okay, I'm being a little spammy, but I've been deprived since yesterday. *whimpers*
Anyway, my fics from March --
When The Cat's Away (Supernatural, John) -- Five states away, and another spot of blood stains the floor of the cab. I need to write more John fic. He's my woobie. *cuddles him*
The Dance Is Where It's At (Supernatural, Dean/Sam) -- Dean knows Sam's first time with a girl because he paid for it and Sam's first blowjob because he was in the room for it and Sam's first handjob because it was Dean's fingers at work. Because in a perfect world, porn spawns even more porn. ;)
Law-Abiding Citizens Don't Defy Gravity (Veronica Mars, Keith) -- How do you get yourself in these situations anyway? There should be more cool detective!Keith fic. I love it when he gets all competent and just a wee bit scary, because he totally can and when he does, it's awesome.
Planning Ahead Never Gets You Anywhere (Supernatural, Sam/OFC) -- But then he walked past, and he smiled at her, and she thought, Oh. Because Sam should be happy again eventually, right?
Pack Up The Moon (Supernatural, slight Sam/Dean) -- They say to be careful what you wish for, and if Dean's lucky he'll remember that next time. Just another example of me being really, really mean to the Winchesters, because I'm a horrible, terrible person, see. ;)
This Bloody Road (Supernatural, Dean) -- Sam leaves behind something Dean can't get rid of, and isn't sure he'd want to. See, here's my thing with all of the genderswap and bodyswap stories in the fandom -- I love them, I do, but I really want some with some permanence. I want the two of them stuck in the wrong bodies for the rest of their lives. I want Dean and/or Sam to be turned into girls FOREVER. So, yeah, kinda had to do this.
You Let Me Complicate You (Supernatural, Dean/Sam/OFC) -- Dazed and confused, and maybe they've screwed up this job beyond the telling of it. "Closer" is a very good song to listen to while writing porn, for the record.
Ain't Nothing a Little Fire and Brimstone Can't Solve (Supernatural, Dean) -- Surviving that final fight's a hell of a lot easier than you think and twice as hard at the same time. It's all the angst about whether or not Sam's really John's son and OMG then he and Dean won't be fully brothers that made me want to go, "Okay, fine, there's a way to have both of those at the same time -- if Dean's not his son, either."
In The Border Fires (Supernatural/Terminator, John/Sarah Connor) -- Who needs flowers and candy when you can have guns and ammo? Heh. I can hook Sarah up with any ex-soldier or merc -- first Joe Dawson, then Jayne Cobb, now this.
Thirty-Two Flavors (Supernatural, Dean) -- Thirty-two things that make Dean Winchester the man he is. I really need to do this with Sam. John would be a little harder, though -- the whole point is using what I know from the show rather than making up stuff, and John's still got a lot of mystery about him.
How To Fix Things (Supernatural/Grey's Anatomy, John/Izzie) -- Denny Duquette is keeping secrets. Heh. Everybody was saying it had to be written and nobody was actually doing it. I was amused. ;)
This Life'll Be The Death of Me (Supernatural, Dean/Sam) -- Dean's best work is done with his hands. Yay for hand porn! Yeah, like I'm not staring at every little thing Dean does. Don't get me started on the man's walk. Jensen does this thing between a bow-legged cowboy and a rambling bear that drives me nuts.
Boys Will Be Boys (Project Runway RPS, Daniel V./Andrae) -- The whole
1sentence thing is kind of fun. I know there's a lot of questionable ones in there, though. I think the problem a lot of the writers who are signing up keep showing is trying to cram as much into each sentence as possible, since they only get the fifty.
And Touch Your Face Again (Supernatural, Jess/Sam) -- I like playing with Jess. They didn't give us a whole hell of a lot to work with, so she's really open.
Across the Universe (Supernatural, Dean/Jess) -- The things we can survive depend on the people who stand by to help us. I can't help it -- I like playing with a character enough, I want to hook them up with everybody. That's why the John/Jessica plotbunny won't die ... my brain sees a writing challenge and needs to run with it. (The scary thing is I think I could pull it off. HELP ME.)

I'm sorry. I forgot what I was going to add, as the previous sentence has melted my brain.
