Oh, Alana, noooooooo.

Not that I don't agree with her, if we're being honest. Or at least, I understand where she's coming from. Ryland's an asstard of gigantic proportions, and he deserves not to get away with the sort of shit he's pulling working at his new fancy job, not to mention the shit he pulled at his old job. Mostly, I'm just whining because Alana had to run away. No, damn it! I like my little 4400 romances shiny and angst-free, with the exception of Shawn and Isabelle who should continue to be as fucked-up as possible.

Speaking of which, Isabelle working with Ryland? And that sticky-sweet smile she gave him? GYAH. Nightmares. That's all I'm saying.

I was surprised when Nikki showed up again, mostly because I'd expected her to come back with Shawn's kid. You know, "Surprise! You knocked me up!" But ... no, which works, too. Whatever it takes to turn Isabelle all paranoid and quietly threatening. It's probably a good thing Megalyn can't do subtle, because I'm not shocked at Isabelle having the subtlety of a boat oar upside the head.

I don't have much else to say. No Marco, no Maia ... meh.

Alana leaving the country makes me want to punch Ira Steven Behr in the face. And not from love, either.

Me too. Noooooooo. Next thing you know, they'll be breaking up Marco and Diana and kicking Maia in the face, and I'll officially lose it.

*sniff* No more Alana & Tom being all adorable together. Nooo! I hope that she's not gone forever!

You know, the more I watch this show, the more I think that the time is going to come when Tom and Diana are going to have to really choose (not just choose and then have everything end up OK) between the 4400 and NTAC. I look forward to that.

Also? Isabelle is totally creepy and not the least bit subtle. Because that's exactly how you want your boyfriend, isn't it? Held hostage by threats? Lovely.

I missed Marco & Maia, though. Perhaps we'll get double doses next week to make up for this one.

I love the chemistry and uncertainty of the Shawn/Isabelle relationship cause it is interesting and hot. But pretty dysfunctional.

I couldn't help but feel awful for Shawn this week cause he had no idea what he was getting himself into when he became sexually involved with her so fast. It's creepy and disturbing how serious she is about keeping him with her.

I'm torn cause I think that having him in her life can be a positive influence - encouragement to be good and do good, a connection to her humanity. But the things she's willing to do to hold onto him are frightening.

It's obvious that he is very attracted to her, but she's emotionally too immature to realize that she might be able to use that to keep him instead of threatening everyone around them.

I agree that he could be a good influence, but I think we're reaching the point where Isabelle is going to be unwilling to be swayed by anyone but herself. I'm just not sure how much of an influence he can still have on her, especially with her blackmailing him to stay with her. Perhaps subtlely, I suppose.
