Earlier today I saw a commercial for Return to Halloweentown coming to the Disney Channel next month and I squeed gleefully.

No, seriously, there is something WRONG with me.

I do not even get why I watch every single one of those movies every October with the complete understanding that they're painfully dreadful even for Disney Channel movies. And yet, OMGYAY! \o/

It's a new one where she goes to college, and I guess the brother goes with her, which makes me this weird sort of happy because I like it when the brother does magic since he never wants to.

Yeah, but he never tries. Supposedly he goes with her to magic college, which I love, because I think he'd be awesome at it if he'd just stop being such a dork about it. He's all Sam about it -- "I want to be normal and my family's full of freaks," yadda yadda -- when what he really needs to do is just go with it.

There's some mention in the preview of a prophecy about some Cromwell descendant, and I think they're going to imply it's Marnie but it'll end up being him.

... it's possible I'm entirely too invested in this character.

This year, I may end up suggesting the Halloweentown movies for Yuletide. *headsmack*

oh...OH and i just did a google search for Hallowentown 4 and the first result's little summary says "... but unlike the previous movies in the series, Halloweentown 4 will be a bonafide musical. ..."

I already thought I was resigned to the depths of Hell for wanting to watch the fourth movie, but they've recast Marnie with that overly perky girl and it's a musical and I *still* want to watch it.
