...so, LJ's being a fucker. Not that that's really conversation, just an exasperated observation. And now I'm trying to think of more multi-syllabic words that I coulda fit into that last sentence.

Do you like SGA? I haven't had cable tv for the past few years, so I never got into the show, but then my flist started going crazy with the SGA fanfic, and then I finally read one of them and was hooked. I've seen, like three episodes, but already I have a LJ favorites section just for SGA fic, and I've restrained myself from writing fic more than once. The show is insidiously addicting, dammit, and there are just too many good writers spashing around in its fanfic pool.

It's sorta like Supernatural, another show whose awesome and sexy fic by members of my flist (you, among others) forced me to DL a few episodes just so I could see the canon in person rather than get it all secondhand from fic.

So, do you have fandoms like that, where you've written fic (or even just read a ton of it) without seeing or reading the canon material? I know it's not just me who has done this...
