Veronica referring to Parker as her friend made me wince. No, V, try "acquaintance." I'm sure "friend" is far too strong a word for what Parker is to you right now.

I would feel bad about Veronica snatching the necklace away from that little girl in such a bitchy way, but that kid was driving me up a wall by the time she finally did it, so good. (Yes, I can be vindictive about spoiled bratty children sometimes. Sue me.)
