apocalypsos: (so drunk)

-- Fine, I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] novel_in_90. Happy? (I'm not going to start writing until midnight, though. I've got some prep I've still got to work on tonight, like ... oh, plot and characters and setting and mythology.)
-- I'm coming up with [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang ideas that no doubt will be Jossed by the finale. But whatever will make me write a 20k story, man.
-- I need to win the Powerball if only so that I can buy every book listed in this post. *covets* The best part is that I'm pretty sure I'd have to keep the books hidden so that my mom the amateur criminologist wouldn't find them. Heh.
-- I've been wearing my "Every time you see a rainbow, God is having gay sex" shirt all day long, although unfortunately I haven't really gone anywhere.
-- Go Fug Yourself's gotten to the Golden Globes outfits. My particular favorite is the comments in regards to Beyonce's outfit, because she's undeniably a gorgeous woman, but ... yeah, seriously, the gold and the slit and the weave and COME ON.
-- My current annoyance is that the local theaters aren't showing Pan's Labyrinth. GRRR.
-- I'm still debating whether or not to do that Ugly Betty contest. On one hand it'd be a lot of fun since God knows I wouldn't win, but on the other hand I haven't drawn anything since high school.

Heh. You can always have some of mine. I have a GINORMOUS list of SPN prompts around here somewhere. If there's one thing a mind-numbing twelve-hour-long night job is good for, it's brainstorming time. :)

Well, I figure ... 750 words a day for three months? I can do that, even on days when I have to work for twelve hours straight. :)

I've found it helps that I carry around a little notebook at times when I'm unable to type like when I'm at work. I let myself brainstorm and come up with scenes there, and then when I come home and sit down at the computer I already know what I'm going to write before I even look at the computer.

If I sit down and stare at the computer screen without already having an idea in mind, I totally freeze up and can't write anything.

Plus, I'm thinking of posting two different word count bars this time around, one towards my total word count and one towards my daily word count. It's one thing to see one bar filling up, but being able to fill one up every day just by writing 750 words should be a little mental boost.

*Nods* Makes sense. I really should start carrying around a notebook again. I haven't done it since college.

I'm kind of hopelessly addicted to Go Fug Yourself. They mock the same people I mock! *flails*

Between that and Ugly Betty and Project Runway, I've turned into such a fashion junkie the last few years, I swear.

Hey! So I'm in the same boat as you are with Pan's Labyrinth; it's not playing anywhere near me. But a friend just uploaded a copy for me that was ripped from a screener DVD so that I could see it. If you'd like, I'd be happy to upload it to mediafire for you. It's ~800 MB.

REALLY?! *hugs* Oh, dude, if you could do that for me, I would totally appreciate it. It looks so awesome. :)

I'm happy to do it. If you don't mind, I'll wait until tonight, though, once I get back from work.

Oh no! I was trying to watch it right now, and the file wouldn't open. I'm going to try to get another copy, since I'm dying to see it too, and I'll upload it for you as soon as I get it. Sorry for getting your hopes up!
