No, you may not buy a new cell phone. You don't really need a cell phone, see. You have a free one because your parents pay for it, and you don't need one with an MP3 player in it because you already own a really nice one already.

And no, the fact that it's pink is not actually a selling point.

Maybe if you have any money left after you buy your airplane ticket to LA with the bonus you may or may not be getting. Does that sound fair?

P.S. And don't be all wibbly about having to get on a plane. It's either that or you learn how to teleport between now and October, so good luck with that, considering how well spontaneously generating the ability to travel through time and space by sheer will has worked so far.

BTW, check Amazon.com when you get ready to buy a new cell phone. If you're starting a new contract, they have the cheapest phones by far.

Nope, but I get outrageously plane-sick, I'm terrified of heights, and I have all of the episodes of Air Crash Investigation that I could find online downloaded onto my MP3 player. All combined, I'd probably be better off walking to California for my own mental health. :)

LOL! I'm holding out for an iPhone but dammit, they're only going thru Cingular and they have the crappiest service in my area.

But failing that, I do love my Razr best of all the cellphones I've had so I'll be content with that for now.

And flying, I don't mind the actual flying part - it's the security rigmarole they put you thru now that drives me batty. Take OFF my shoes?????

Just keep chanting to yourself that it's a zillions times safer to fly across the country than drive your car to work. (and it really is :))

Oh, dude, I'm dying for an iPhone. I figure I'll be able to hold out until they're released and then all bets will be off. :)

And the flying thing is only partly because I'm afraid of crashing (and the thing about it being safe than cars NEVER sinks in). I also get ridiculously plane-sick. I have to take twice the recommended dosage of Dramamine at least to get it to kick in, and even with that I still hope I don't end up with a talkative seatmate because otherwise I can't even try to sleep through it.
