-- Last night I realized that when I was writing my summary for the Bigbang list, I had the perfect opportunity to use something like this -- Jared Padalecki is a ginormous Texan boy who can walk through walls, Jensen is his hot but strange co-star. Together, THEY FIGHT CRIME! -- and didn't. Heh.

-- I also went with Jess to Dunkin Donuts last night during lunch and got a Sobe Energy Coolatta. It's awfully yummy but it's also the same electric green color as the radioactive stuff at the nuclear plant on The Simpsons, so that was kind of surreal.

-- I have to stay awake so I can drive back down to Scranton and get a damn haircut today. GRR.

-- Tonight I'm supposed to go to a church picnic with Jess and the lesbian girls from work, which prompted me to ask if they thought it would be tacky if I merged the overlying themes of the night and showed up wearing my "Every time you see a rainbow, God is having gay sex" shirt. I think we all agreed that I might not be tacky but I'd definitely be very, very beat up.

-- And now more of Paul Potts the opera singer from Britain's Got Talent for you guys, and more Project Catwalk for me. :)

Wikipedia told me he got through, but I really question the sense in choosing a song called "Time to Say Goodbye" on a competition. ^_^

I actually really hate that song, because it's so trite and overused and melodically rather boring, but the guy himself is so endearing that i'll let it slide...

Thanks for posting these clips. I'm so glad this show with him in it is happening in Britain, so he gets the response he deserves. I'd be so afraid here that, except for people like us, the audience would golf clap.

I'm with Simon: I want him to do well.

Okay, that song gave me shivers. Truly. Amazing!

He's chosen the most cliché songs ever, but that's okay, because it's kind of brilliant that in 2007 a guy from Cardiff dreams of being an opera singer, and instantly wins over a reality show crowd.

Thanks for posting that. So sweet. It's his quiet, unassuming dignity, I think, that sells his music. Plus, of course, his voice.
