Cheetos covered in strawberry chocolate?! Somebody get me a bag of those and I'll try them. I'm not saying I'll like 'em, even if they are Cheetos and Cheetos are one of my favorite things EVER, and I know Japanese Cheetos taste different than American ones, but I'm the girl who'll try anything once. I didn't even flinch when [livejournal.com profile] huggenkiss offered me Vegemite (I still make coffee-face just thinking about that, which only about three of you people have seen me make -- it's a lot like when you let a baby suck on a lemon slice.).

I should make that a regular thing or something. "Send me odd food from other countries and I'll eat it!" It should be really interesting considering my stomach's gotten way more sensitive than it used to be. :)

Speaking of dares, I'm starting to think Sarah Jessica Parker's makeup and costume regime for the Sex And The City movie is based around one.

Here's some other outfits for the movie.

O_o o_O

I saw the whole series and she usually wore better things than that.

I like the shoes she's wearing with the black and white coat, but as for the rest of it ... GYAH. She looks like Drew Barrymore's character in Never Been Kissed, like she's the dorky girl who just moved into a new school district, is trying desperately to dress like the popular girls, and failed miserably.

*sigh*

Meh. I hated the show, so it's not like it's doing anything for me anyway.

Someone posted a video one time of them trying some Cucumber Pepsi someone sent them from Japan. I can't remember who did it; some webcomic artist or something.

The funny started before they'd even tasted it. They poured some and suddenly realized that the bottle was clear, not tinted an awful green color.

Oh, I was dying to try that stuff. It looked like it could be so very, very gross.

I keep meaning to get those flavored sodas every time Thanksgiving rolls around and then I can never afford it by then thanks to Christmas.

offered me Vegemite

I think the biggest problem with non-aussies and vegemite is that you usually try it the first time in a spoon full or thickly spread on bread which is just... bleah. It's a thin scraping on heavily buttered toast that's for the win... :)

Oh, I knew I wasn't going to like it so I spread it really, really thin on a slice of bread. But I didn't toast it or put butter on it, so that probably would have helped. ;)

Very true... :)

lt is hellishly salty... I think you have to be raised on the stuff or you have no hope... ha!

One of the people I offered it to the last time I was overseas kept refusing to taste it when was spread on bread. They just wanted to taste a spoonful. I was like "you really, really don't want to do that - you'll regret it". They thought I was bluffing and went for the spoon anyway. Oh, poor Vegemite virgin. You can't take a spoonful of the vege-awesomeness first time out, you need to build up to it. *shakes head*

Oh man. I'm sorry, but her head looks huuuuuge.

I know, right? She looks like a seventy-year-old bobblehead.

I kinda feel bad for her, because she seemed nice enough when she was on Project Runway (and I've heard she's a little bit needy when it comes to making sure people like her) and she looked good with simple makeup, simple hair, and a nice toned-done outfit. Aaaaaand then there's those pictures. Urgh.

I feel kinda bad for her because it seems like she's always showing up in "what female celebrities do men hate?" things and it seems like she attracts irrational disgust from men for some reason, but... man.

They do that a lot here. Western "sweet" is apparently way too sweet for most Japanese, and Western "salty" is way too salty, so making them meet in the middle seems to be the way to go. I recently had vingegared puff pastry covered in chocolate. It wasn't as bad as one might expect once I got over the vinegary chocolate shock.
If I see those cheetos, I can totally buy a bag.
