Bravo has the final collections for Project Runway up on their website. (Which, I mean, I've already spoiled myself rotten with them because they were up elsewhere a few days ago, but I didn't get to sit down and give a good in-depth reaction to them.)

For the record, I find it hilarious that for all of ten minutes they were running, "We've never done this on the runway before!" commercials like they were being all secretive about it, before they finally just cracked and were like, "Yeah, okay, we're bumping two of them. Ooooooo!" It's as if someone poked them in the side right after they started airing it and said, "Marla and Diana, dude? Heidi Standridge and John Wade? GO WATCH SEASON TWO."

Anyway. Collections!

Chris March: This is my favorite collection out of all of them. I'm iffy on the dramatic dark makeup and the frayed hair, but then I thought about it and you know what I thought? I thought, "Somebody's been watching Helena Bonham Carter in Tim Burton movies. And maybe her in Fight Club, too." They're very goth and lovely, and I know there's a lot of bitching on the TWoP boards that they look heavy, but personally I love the dark colors and the velvets. The silkscreened one with the face is one of my favorites, but that little red dress with the black beads in front would probably look best on me.

Christian: Christian's is my second favorite, mostly because while I love all of the stuff he made I'm not sure I'd want to wear any of it. I adore the fact that he did the puffy sleeves-tuxedo shirt-skinny pants thing but it all looks really great and well-made, and I have a thing for hats (although I don't have any good ones like I used to, damn it) so all the hats make me happy. I think my favorite piece is the black coat that's pretty much just all ruffles -- my reaction upon seeing it is always, "GIMME." And I really like how he integrated the ruffles from the avant-garde dress into a few of his pieces, including that one that's just totally ruffles. It's very him and it's very cool. Ahem, I mean fierce. *eye roll*

Sweet P: Hmm. There are some pieces I love, but for the most part I'm very meh on it, and I'm in total agreement with the fact that the plaid pants with the pink top seems to be universally reviled as the worst piece out of all of the collections. I really like the purple dress with the dark purple ruffles at the sleeves, the green dress with the cape (which, man, I only wish there were a setting where I could wear that and wouldn't look like a weird, because LOVE it), and that little black, white and green dress with the gloves (very cute).

Rami: Eh. The longer the season's gone on, the less I've liked the draping, so seeing it in his collection irritates me less because of the look of it and more because YAY Rami Can Drape! *sigh* I really like that little black, white and gray dress but I HATE the black coat with it. The top with the shades of gray has such lovely sleeves, but something about the black corset, the cranberry pants, or both is making that presumably skinny model look bigger than she is in the midsection, which is something I expect out of Christian. (Oh, yeah, I really should have given him props for getting past that, too.) That taupe (?) dress with the weaving is great, and that black corset dress at the end is lovely. But so much of that doesn't strike me at all as anything I'd like to wear or look at.

Jillian: I swing wildly back and forth with Jillian's collection. The tamed-down version of her avant-garde coat is divine, one of my favorite things in any of the collections (without those holes in the sleeves which, what?), and makes me really wish that either they'd given her more time to make something like that during the challenge or that there was a pattern I could use to make that out of. (It would be really great if Bravo made patterns of some of their more popular challenge entries so that some of us dumbasses who know how to sew could make them at home. Damn it.) And yes, I would wear that coat in public and LOVE it. And that second look, the one with the thick red, white and black scarf -- I would totally wear that. But the corset dress and the off-the-shoulder dress just make the models' boobs look so droopy. (I keep thinking back to Biddell's corset dress and how Ashley's boobs were exactly where they were supposed to be.) As for the rest of the looks, it seems like for everything I like about them, there's some glaring thing that bothers me a lot about them from a personal standpoint. Like, they're all outfits I would pick up from a rack and go, "Oooo!" over, and then put back two minutes later after I realized, "Cutouts in the front? Muppet sleeves? Wait, where does the waist on that dress fall?!"

So, my guess?

Should win: Christian or Chris.

Will win: Christian, I'm guessing. If they let Chris win, you all should be able to hear the whining from wherever you live. (Apparently Jack, Kit and Kevin have all made derogatory comments about Chris coming back to the show after Jack left, which -- seriously, all of you can shut the hell up. I used to like you idiots before I heard that And so can the people on the TWoP boards who said he should have come back with the understanding that he wouldn't win or would be kicked off in the next episode. No, seriously, SHUT IT. That would have been a shitty thing to do to anyone, and if I had been Chris and they'd given me those rules I would have told them to take their Fashion Week and shove it in an uncomfortable place like the backseat of a Volkswagen.)

I just started looking at Chris's collection and I swear the first model is one of the girls from America's Next Top Model. That was distracting and now I'm going to try to actually look at the clothes.

I don't watch ANTM, but I think I read somewhere else that that is one of them.

You're not missing anything. She was one of the catty ones from this last season, so I was hoping to never see her again.

Dani, the winner of Cycle 5 or 6, and Jaslene, the winner from Cycle 8, are in the shows as well.

I really like Jillian's, but I think it's hard to pick and out and out favorite between her, Chris and Christian. Rami and Sweet P both had some great pieces, but overall, I don't think they're winners.

I agree, I think Christian is going to win.

I *adore* Chris' collection, and am very fond of Jillian's (so true on the trench coat, omg). As much as I like some of Christian's stuff, I can't help but feel skeptical because, well, is it just me, or did he make the same pair of skinny black pants for like 9 of his 12 outfits? That doesn't seem right.

Chris needs to win, regardless of all the brouhaha over him coming back. The one red and black dress that Dani from ANTM walked in is simply stunning.

I really have to pick Chris over Christian, because Christian's collection is exactly, to the tiniest well made detail, what everyone (judges included) are expecting. And I personally hate the puffy sleeves.

Rami's isn't bad, and I actually really loved the skirt suit (it's a softer twist on business attire) and the gowns at the end. He'll probably end up having a very good career as a red carpet designer.
