Otis: "Ooo, ooo, what's this?!" *spazzes out*
Me: *tries to do what the video tells me to*
Otis: "Ooo, ooo, Mommy's on the floor! I know what that means!" *flops down on floor next to me to be petted*
Me: *keeps exercising*
Otis: *sadface* "But, Mommy, you're supposed to pet me!"
Me: *keeps exercising*
Otis: *gets up, jumps up on my tummy, purrs and rubs my face* "NO! PET NOW, PET NOW!"
Me: *sighs, gives up, pets the hell out of him*

Y'know, I have the same problem with my daughter. I had to stop trying to exercise with her around, because she thinks that, for example, sit ups are a chance to jump up and down on my stomach. ::sigh::

My cat does this without fail when I'm down for push-ups and sit-ups.

He's just also fifteen pounds.

The other night I was making a laughable attempt at pushups, and my cat Lyta decided this would be the time to entwine around my arms and hang out underneath me. With her tail up my nose.

My cat would do that... and add in a bite if he didn't get his way (and thus be locked in the bathroom).

Which is why I only ever do such things when I can close a door between myself and the cat.
