A few entertainment-related things

[apocalypsos]

-- I'm not watching it so much as occasionally catching a few minutes here and there and gaping in horror, but Guiding Light looks so freakin' cheap anymore. They've switched over to handheld cameras and lots of outside shoots and it makes most of the actors look awful and nearly every single set look like it's made out of water paints and particle board.

-- Okay, I've only ever seen the "Slap Bet" episode and yet I've been watching the last minute and a half of the last new episode of HIMYM for, you know, the obvious reason. :)

-- Wargames is on AMC tonight. Sweet! I haven't seen that movie in ages.

-- I know that I don't talk about it much anymore because ... well, frankly, it's spectacularly dreadful writing and it's pissing me off, but there's a spoiler for this week that Noah tells Ameera he's sick of being without Luke and he wants to break up their fake marriage. Ooo, maybe the writers came back to replace the scabs and are finally set on fixing this mess? *crosses fingers*

Also, there's spec that we might end up getting the half-siblings plot after all what with Colonel Crazypants coming back. At this point I say bring it on, although I think that's because Ameera might never stop throwing up. *is evil*

I saw the network advertising The 25th Anniversary of WarGames! And then I cried a little, because I watched that movie all the time on HBO when I was a kid, and now I'm old.

Gah! After watching the last minute and a half of the last new episode of HIMYM, the obvious reason is so totally not the reason to be watching the last minute and a half of the last new episode of HIMYM.

I really, really wished you watched this show more regularly, because the past few episodes are so frigging squee-worthy, and it's climaxed in...well...

So...next week's episode should be interesting. Also because it involves the goat.

Awesome! Long as it doesn't conflict with DC. Now if someone would just show "Space Camp." Am I alone in adoring that movie??

OMG Space Camp. I loved that movie so much! And I'm not even that interested in space. I just loved it. Mostly for Lea Thompson.

Also, it's only just occurred to me how hard that movie passes the feminism test (do two female characters have a conversation about anything other than men?). They do, and it's about rocket science. WIN.
