It just ... it doesn't even make any fucking sense. And not only does it completely obliterate any need for sequels, it almost completely eliminates why they would have needed the previous three movies.

I've never been apologetic about liking T3, but see? SEE?! It could have been SO MUCH WORSE.

I'm really hoping that either that's not the real ending or that once it gets around the Internet so many people tear it to shreds that the producers and director make a REAL ending OR the preview audiences see it and riot. No, seriously, I want a fucking riot. I want the kind of reaction I saw when I went to see a test viewing of the original version of Kate and Leopold where Meg Ryan's ex-boyfriend was descended from Hugh Jackman's character thereby giving their relationship that special shiny twinge of skeeviness that had the entire audience saying, "INCEST WTF?!" as they left the theater, except I want FIRE and PUNCHING OF EXECUTIVES and NUCLEAR EXPLOSIONS and POSSIBLY SCURVY.

Ahem.

Yeah, so ... I don't like it. Not even a little.

I *THINK* (I'm not sure) I remember hearing something like this back ages ago, when the movie first got floated about, but that was before CB put his name to it and supposedly the reason he signed on for three flicks was he was so impressed by the script. Now he's done some real stinkers, but I can't see (at least I hope not *shudders at it some more*) him signing on for this one with that kind of ending. It pretty much defeats the purpose of the entire franchise.

It's also slightly moronic. Since, y'know, if John *dies*, hello, time machine on standby. It's just...*NO*. You can have a Terminator series without Arnold. You *cannot* have one without at least one of the Connors running around. And not just his skin. *eyeroll*

Yeah, I hate the idea. it's just...SO MANY LEVELS OF WRONG. (Specially since, y'know, they're apparently doing some nods to SCC and we all know how Derek reacted when he first ran into John's pet Terminators. Can't wait for the moment cyborg!John gets shot and people are all WTF? METAL?)
