It's fine now, but maaaan. Tires: the bane of my car ownership.

The bane of anyone's, really. Urban, rural, it doesn't matter. Have tire, tire will meet puncturing object. It's a mad skill.

I even got a puncture in the driveway of my rental house, backing out over some debris which scattered in from my neighbor's driveway, a few feet away.

The last flat tire I got had four nails in it. Everybody I know was like, "What did you do, run over a BOX of nails?!"

That wasn't nearly as bad as the day I got two flat tires in a three-hour period. Especially since that was the first step towards me having to get a new car after wasting a ton of money on new tires.

My favorite (ok, not really), was getting the same tire flattened (right fromt), three times, within six months, from three different construction areas (miles apart), but supered by the same company.

It was like they were out to get me, and waited a few months each time, just so I'd be almost out of the 'new tire fear', and then BAM. Sucker!

The third time, I even called the company manager up and asked him where they were going to be constructing two months from then. He laughed, and said my story wasn't unique.

Which almost disturbed me more. What were these guys, setup artists for tire stores?
