Is this going to be a new thing? This thing where my mother says or does something on the last day of my visit that makes me extremely grateful I don't live with her anymore.

Today's nugget of wisdom, re: a rap metal song playing at the car wash -- "Oh, I hate this jungle bunny music your brother listens to."

*headwall*

You know, you're not allowed to make snarky, disapproving comments about your parents acting exactly like Archie and Edith Bunker if you're going to say shit like that. Seriously.

And to give you an example of my brother and I in a casual conversation:

(As we're walking out the front door of the mall, loudly)
Bryan: But really, what's so bad about heroin?
Me: Well, when I can't get out of the house to meet my tricks and I'm totally broke, I start getting these annoying shakes --
Bryan: I only get those when I run out of crack.
Me: You really need to learn how to budget your hard drugs.

We only had one lady stare at us funny. I cannot even begin to express our bitter disappointment.
