I shouldn't be scared of McCain/Palin supporters.

I shouldn't. And for the few on my friends list, I'm not. But this behavior is appalling and terrifying. God knows it's a distinct possibility with a black candidate that his life might be put in danger by some psycho. We shouldn't be concerned that the other candidates might be the one to steer them there.

(And I'm particularly tired of the Ayers bullshit. So far, I haven't seen anything that makes him more than a mere acquaintance to Obama, and even if they call each other every night and coo sweet nothings into the phone, if we're going to sit here and make snide insinuations about everyone the candidates have met, I'm sure we can make up some great conspiracy theories about people McCain's met.)

In less aggravating news, my boss said, "Overtime?" and I said, "Yes, please!" 'Cause, I'm a jackass, see. *sigh*

Still haven't caught up with Heroes, Dexter, and The Amazing Race. Also missed Chuck. Urgh.

This.

You aren't accountable for what people say, but you are accountable for informing people what you personally do not support and do not want to hear from people who claim to be on the same page as you. "That is not my page; in fact, I don't think we're in the same book."

How hard would it have been for McCain, or anyone, to hear that statement and respond "That is extremely inappropriate"? Hell, I'd respect him more if he had, as I suspect would have a lot of people. Not enough to vote for him, though, so perhaps he didn't consider it worth it to alienate one of his supporters...
