If you read the article, AirTran says that they asked to be rebooked *before* they were cleared by the FBI.

I'm fairly non tolerant of discrimintaion in any form. It just pisses me the hell off. I don't like people being judged by the sins of others no matter who they are.

I'm not sure how I feel about the middle one. I read through the article and the airline says that the family asked to be rebooked before they got the all clear from the FBI. I don't know - I posted about it on my journal.

Follow-up story.

AirTran apologises, refunds their tickets, says it plans to reimburse them for the cost of the replacement tickets they bought from US Airways, and offers to fly them back to Washington free of charge.

Firing her was a crappy thing for the school to do. I can see how they might justify it, because it would lead to awkward questions about why she wasn't going to communion during school masses anymore, but still. She definitely shouldn't have gotten fired, especially not if the school employs non-Catholic teachers.
