I agree that the press focus on the Obamas doing ... well, pretty much anything, is a bit too much.

However, you have no idea how loudly I squealed when I saw that Malia got the dreads back for the first day of school! I love the dreads! They look really good on her! (At least, they look like dreads to me. I don't think they're braids. Either or, she's got her daddy's face shape so they fill her out.)

I'm seriously starting to think that my favorite Obama is Malia's Hair. Heh.

I LOVE Malia's hair. Just seeing a little black girl with natural black hair--and her being the daughter of the PRESIDENT--makes me warm and fuzzy.

They're so adorable, I swear. They're like a sitcom family. Malia and Sasha are the mischievous kids, Barack's the overgrown kid who gets into trouble, and Michelle's the responsible adult who stands back when they all get into trouble, crosses her arms, and shakes her head with a smile.
