I want to see acceptance speeches again, damn it. The only thing I can find are the backstage interviews by the press corps. Kate Winslet is stunned out of her mind, Colin Farrell's endearingly profane, and Tina Fey's smart enough not to give much of an answer when they throw Sarah Palin questions at her. I want to watch Kate Winslet get her Best Actress award again, though. *pouts*

Hey, guess what? A week from now, we'll have a new president. As in, not Bush. \o/

I have accomplished nothing since Saturday, writing-wise. Way to put the brakes on the slow if steady drip of words you were gathering, dumbass. *headsmack*

I watched the whole show in 45 mins. Watched a few speeches. Colin and Kate were cute. I would have liked to see Leo win because he was all teary eyed when she spoke.

Get back to writing!

That just became my new happy thought for the day. *Grin*

Colin Farrell's endearingly profane

I love CF. I should hate him, but like Barney in HIMYM, I just adore him.

I always take it as a good sign when guys who have reputations as jerks in Hollywood have good reputations as dads, and he's one of them.

Did you see him in In Bruges? He totally earned that award.

He does have a reputation for random moments of awesome and charitable goodness when he's not chasing skirt.

I've been meaning to, now I must. Plus, I love the random Colin stories of how he took a homeless person shopping and then promised to get them a place to stay, nd pay the rent for a year; or how he was at the special olympics supporting athletes; or how he finds 70-year old Dame Eileen Atkins so wicked hot he tried to get with her; or how he does not pimp his son's disability and only comments on how his son is exactly as he should be and how proud he is of his son; or how he supports his openly gay brother... I just love that dude. I mean, slutty, yes, but more like he's the real life Alan Shore: he'll find you wicked how no matter who you are or how you look, because everything is wicked hot.

I think they're all over at nbc.com? I know Kate Winslet's are over there.

Yeah, I finally figured out they might be over there after I got to Panera this afternoon. Then I played Kate's Best Actress acceptance speech about five million times in a row. Today's biggest accomplishment was that I managed not to well up in a Panera over a half-eaten bread bowl full of baked potato soup.

I didn't watch the show, but I immediately went to Youtube and searched for Kate's speeches - they're there now! She's so darling. It gets me all choked up when she tells Leo how much she loves him. Titanic was my favorite movie when I was ELEVEN, and it still holds a special place in my heart. Awwwwww!
