Apparently they're showing Planet Earth all day on the Discovery Channel.

I've been dying to watch this, so I'm settling in for the long haul. :)

My dad said he wants to buy the series on blu-ray so he can have it playing constantly on his living room TV when he isn't watching something else.

That series is so OMG beautiful. My prospective in-laws gave it to me on Blu-ray for Christmas and that's what I watched to destress while I was preparing for my qualifying exam.

Of course, the damn PS3 got stolen while we were on vacation so I can't watch it anymore right now. *cry* It's so gorgeous on the big screen TV. SO SO SO MUCH LOVE.

Aw drat. I'd taped a few but forgot to set up a season pass, so I've missed two already today I didn't have. Ah well...its gorgeous stuff, though.

I finally downloaded it and watched it last week-- it's a gorgeous series. I watched Discovery Channel incessantly as a child, so it was a huge nostalgia kick for me.

I love that miniseries so much. The great white sharks! The six foot Japanese salamanders! The snow leopard! The ducklings! THE POLAR BEARS AND ARCTIC FOXES!

Whenever I watched it, I kept imagining how the Doctor from Doctor Who would react while geeking out on it.

Oooh, and the jungle episode, if you watch it, has the creepiest sequence about fungi, molds, and spores. It's like a celebration of alien invasion and insect death, with the most eerie and disturbing background music.
