Nothing like taking in your car for inspection and finding out it needs $300 worth of new brakes, rotors, and windshield wipers.

*sigh*

I'm just lucky I'm financially flush right now, I suppose. (Thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster for that severance package, that's all I'm sayin'.)

Mine took four new tires. UGH.

I was trying not to even think about the tires. I knew it needed the wipers, and the brakes and rotors aren't that much of a surprise, really. The tires would have been a winceworthy shock, though, especially considering I can afford the $300 but that's about it.

That is always one of my worst fears when I take my car in for inspection. I sit in the waiting room, silently chanting "ohshitohshit what are they going to find wrong." =/

Well, on the bright side, it could definitely be a lot worse. $300 for brakes and things is not nearly as bad as some mechanic visits I've had. The $800 they wanted one year to let one of my previous cars pass inspection was a particular bright point. *eyeroll*
