apocalypsos: (boo misbehave)
... in that I am physically incapable of sleeping late on Christmas morning. Or at all, it seems. *yawns*

But it does mean that I woke up from my two-hour nap (well, let's just call it what it was, and boy, am I going to regret THAT later) just in time for Yuletide to open. Woohoo!

What I got from my Yuletide Santas:

That Merry Still Goes Round (Chuck) -- You guys. OH, YOU GUYS. So this is my main present, and I gave this prompt that was basically, "Why Captain Awesome thinks Chuck is kind of awesome." Because you know he does. He SO does. That's one of the best things about Awesome, that he clearly and genuinely likes Chuck, and that's my favorite thing about the whole show. And this is just such a great take on that, because it's totally THEM. I want to make out with the mental image of the two of them hanging out and watching Star Wars together. They don't even have to be making out. *beams*

Writer's Block (The Incredibles) -- HA! I have this picture in my head every time I watch the movie and this is SO it. *giggles madly*

A Midnight Clear (As The World Turns) -- Luke/Noah first-time smut! The world needs more of that, damn it, and this was fabulous. :)

And now I have to take another -- *ahem* -- nap, because I have to get up and go to my parents' house again in a couple of hours. Sigh.

EDIT: Also, there are roughly forty-seven million stories about Emerson Cod and knitting. Which is just ... oh, man, have I mentioned how much I love fandom right now? Because Emerson. And knitting.

Bang! Bang! My Baby Shot Me Down (Arrested Development/The Colbert Report) -- Maeby meets Stephen Colbert at Bear-Hunting Camp.

It's EXACTLY as hilarious as it sounds. Oh, man. *hearts*

I got my Fly Fusion pen. And the purple winter coat I saw at American Eagle and squeed over when I went shopping with my mom.

AND A FUCKING FLATSCREEN.

No, seriously, I'm done now. I don't ever have to have Christmas again. I'm good. WOO-FUCKING-HOO.

(Also, my mom got me a 25th-anniversary Premier Edition Cabbage Patch Doll. I didn't even know how much I wanted it, much less that it existed, and then I opened the box and I felt a childish gleeful NEEEED. Heh.)

Riley: *walks in front of the the Christmas tree*
Mom: Riley, lie down in front of the presents.
Riley: *stops, flops down in front of the presents*
George: *walks in front of Riley in front of the Christmas tree*
Mom: George, you lie down too.
George: *stops, flops down in front of the kitten*
Me: ... how do you DO that?!

I wrote five stories this year for Yuletide. If you can guess at least one of them, I'll write you a snippet or a drabble after the reveal. (If you get more than one right, I only promise one story, if only because I'm just hoping I can keep up the spastic Yuletide output that long. *crosses fingers*)

Some clues:

1. Only one of the stories was in a fandom I've written in before.
2. Two are in movies I've never mentioned watching, although I did recently and loved them both.
3. Of the other three, one is for a movie and the other two are for TV shows.
4. One is femslash, one is slash, one is het, and the other two are gen.
5. Only one of them was written for someone on my friends list. (Well, that I know of.)

I also have a feeling that when the reveal comes I'm going to end up talking a LOT about at least two of them, if not all of them. I really loved how all of them turned out, even the ones I wrote in the last few hours when I was trying to squeeze them in on Christmas Eve between my great-uncle making me cry and my little cousin throwing the cats halfway across the living room. Sigh.

Anyway, guess away! :)
