Aug. 18th, 2009 10:27 amHelloooooooo, dress!
Well, aren't you just a great big pile of sex. Oh, I wish you could come home with me, sweetie. Or that I had enough fashion knowledge to mock up a copy.
Excuse me while I covet. HARDCORE.
Well, aren't you just a great big pile of sex. Oh, I wish you could come home with me, sweetie. Or that I had enough fashion knowledge to mock up a copy.
Excuse me while I covet. HARDCORE.
So, my current plans for the rest of the week.
I did end up having to borrow thirty bucks from my brother to put in my checking account to bring it even because after I checked the ATM yesterday they apparently reverted back to the original -$.34 or whatever it was and there went thirty bucks. Urgh. Okay, lesson learned.
So tomorrow when I get my unemployment in my account he gets thirty-five bucks -- five extra for his trouble -- and I'm paying both insurances to get that out of the way, which leaves me with enough for my car payment, which I may or may not run over to the bank and have them take out anyway. It depends on what the grocery situation looks like, since I'm not sure how much I'll end up with if I pay all three bills at once and I want to keep twenty or thirty bucks for cafe visits for the next week or so if only for my own sanity. (I can't sit in my apartment all the time or I'll crack, honestly. That's almost the only place I go anymore other than the grocery store and my parents' house and it makes me happy to be there.)
I'm going to start working on Heroine Addiction again tomorrow. Somewhere between the heat and the bank account situation I'm just not up to it. I can't brain today, I have the dumb. Seriously, after I give my dad a ride to ... wherever I'm supposed to give him a ride to, I'm heading home, curling up in front of the TV, and watching Leverage episodes until AGT comes on. My exciting life, let me show you it.

Aug. 18th, 2009 07:55 pmThis Jezebel post links to a story about thrifty moms trading off babysitting duties and pooling their resources. I only barely registered the story until I skimmed through the comments and spotted this:
Stoneybrook, CT mother of five and gym teacher Kristin Thomas posted on her mommyblog, 'This babysitting co-op idea is nothing new. My friends and I were doing it in middle school. In fact, you can reach us every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon between five-thirty and six at one convenient number. Support a local, mom-run business in the recession!'Comments on the blog entry included 'Oh plz Kristy no moar - Caludia,' 'I notice you didn't mention my Montessori playgroup and our organic urban farming initiative - Dawn' and 'If you make me dig out that notebook again I WILL CRY - Mary Anne =^.^=.'
HA!

Aug. 18th, 2009 09:03 pmApparently I still have no shame.
Performing tonight are:
Hairo Torres
Mario and Jenny
G Force
Bri
Lawrence Beaman
Dave Johnson
FootworKINGz
Pixie Mystere
Jeffrey Ou
Marcus Terrell
Jay Mattioli
U4Ria Dance
That's actually a decent lineup, especially compared to last week. That leaves for next week: EriAm, Mia Boostrom, Anthony and Matt, African High Flyers, Barbara Padilla, Chris Allison, Erik and Rickie, Ishaara, Pam Martin and Viva, Recycled Percussion, and Drew Stevyns. Drew is the one we neither saw during the auditions, nor in Las Vegas.
( My commentary on the acts )
