-- Why, oh, WHY am I responding to Yahoo article comments? I commented on an article about how the U.S. is ranked 31st in maternal health in the world with a sarcastic comment responding to the people who were calling the article "socialist propaganda." (Yes, socialism is bad. Who wants policemen, firemen, the military, Medicare, libraries, roads, the post office, etc.?) To which I got called a lazy welfare mooch.

Let me tell you how many times I have really, REALLY wished that some people were obligated by law to man a Medicare call center line. Granted, that would only feed some people's gross antipathy towards the rest of the human race, but still.

-- I'm still working on the whole e-publishing thing. Right now, I'm mostly waiting on the Mystery Option Behind Door Number Three -- at least for The Monsters Of Moosic -- but after trying to go the regular publishing route I've got infinite patience on that count. Waiting hasn't bothered me for quite some time.

That said, I made a list of WIPs to work on. The Monsters Of Moosic needs one last go-over by me and the copyright to go through before I can e-publish, but otherwise it's all good. Heroine Addiction needs a cover and a bit more of an edit, AND I need to scrounge up the copyright money and wait for it to go through as well, but it's mostly done. After that ... well, I'll have to see what strikes my fancy first.

I may be feeling a bit giddy about the whole thing, though, even though it's a bit of a wait right now. And the Mystery Option Behind Door Number There is SO way out there that I'm still a bit, "Nah, not happening," about the whole thing (even though it might, which ... GYAH, can't think about it, may fry a synapse). So I'm having a very active writing year for someone who's barely written anything at all, really.

-- So I watched The Voice last night. The singers did get better as the show progressed, I'll give it that. And I'm glad that a few of the singers got a successful second chance AND ended up with the judges who'd indicated they'd wanted them the first time around. (Especially that guy with the six kids. He made a good move going with a country song the second time around ... at least, I think that was a country song.)

Also, Blake and Adam -- still slashy as hell, even with all of the Miranda Lambert namedropping.
