So I went down to the cafe to have lunch, and the woman who owns it was talking to me and one of the waitresses about how for Christmas she's going to put on flannel PJs and curl up on her couch with a bunch of chocolates and a bottle of red wine and watch old movies all damn day. That sounds so wonderful I may end up doing much the same tomorrow. (Today is right out, as I'm going out with Jess later, although I am curled up right now with my laptop and the electric blanket and the cat, who certainly wasn't to let a warm lap pass him by.)

I watched this week's Never Mind The Buzzcocks and died laughing. I miss Simon, I do, but I really liked the first episode and absolutely ADORED this one. Can we have Rhod Gilbert as host every week? He had me at calling Greg Davies the bloated corpse of Rik Mayall. Which ... hee!

Also, I watched this week's Flash Forward yesterday at work. I'm really loving the crap out of this show, but I'm reserving the right to be bothered if the conceit starts to weaken or it starts to draw out answering questions forever like Lost used to, which aggravated me right out of wanting to watch it.

Oh, and I hate NBC for canceling Southland and I never even watched it. What the fuck, NBC? There's a reason I'm down to one show on your stupid network I'm still watching. I haven't watched anything this season of Heroes and I haven't missed it at all, but I can't wait for Chuck to come back, which they're bringing back early now that they've canceled Southland. Maybe. If they don't decide to cancel it before they air any episodes like they did with Southland because Jay Leno needs another hour of airtime to tell nasally awful jokes. Urgh.

EDIT: Oh, my God, what is this and why am I not wearing it right now?! *pets computer screen*

You have to see Southland for Regina King and Michael Cudlitz (who is Bull Randleman in Band of Brothers -- if you've gotten to "Replacements," that's his episode). I mean, it's pretty great in its own right, and the last episode is killer, but John Cooper is a thing of beauty.
