Dear body,

Okay, fine, I don't really mind my period showing up unexpectedly, mostly because I'm the dumbass who never expects it. However, the reason I never expect it is that the one reliable thing about it is that the day beforehand and the first day of said period, I will experience soreness from head to toe and familiar dull stomach cramps. Clearly, I've almost become fond of that awful haggard sensation, as I would prefer it to the current state of you, which is that I feel perfectly fine except for the THROBBING FUCKING SHAFT OF HEADACHE PAIN RIGHT BEHIND MY GODDAMN EYES OH GOD WHY THIS HURTS SO BAD OW OW OW.

Gimme my debilitating muscle fatigue back, damn it. It's my friend and I miss it. And swap it out with this migraine shit while you're at it.

Sincerely,

Me

I've kept track of My Weird Body via locked LJ posts. I still get surprises now and then, but since I'm on LJ every day pretty much anyway, it helps mininise the frequency...

See, I tried that the last few months out of curiosity, and it's exactly what I thought. It's always a few days off here or there, to the point where there's about a week's worth of leeway to be had. I finally figure out that it's just a lot easier to listen to my body instead, and now it decides to give me mixed signals instead. *throws hands in air*

(Although I did have a silent rage blackout as per usual halfway through work over a bullshit handout my boss wanted me to put out for the guests to take. I always have one of those right before I figure out I've got it.)

Wow, my sympathies totally. I'm so happy to have that nasty blood-producing organ excised from my body many years ago. Why, oh why, didn't they take those nasty hormone-producing organs at the same time?

I will tell you that relief is on the way when you hit your 50s or 60s. My migraines diminished and mostly went away once the hormonal storms had passed. Old age is a good thing.

Or you could just be like me and have both the muscle pains, and headaches with a cherry on top of cramps... :D

I'm in the same boat with you hun, hope it gets better!!
