I start next Monday. The position only lasts until March with an option to hire, which I'm not about to worry about right now. I have to go down and take a drug test later, which kinda sucks because I was planning on sitting my butt in this chair all day and pumping out words on both Heroine Addiction and This Way To The Egress, but hell, they're not going anywhere. Besides, JOB.

Urgh, I have to go take a shower.

They're making you take a drug test for a temp job? Crikey, that's intrusive.

Thinking back, the only time I've ever been asked to take a drug test for a job interview was to work in a call centre. For all my jobs as a nurse (and before that as a support worker in learning disabilities, homelessness, autistic children and other services) they've never asked for a drug test. I guess they don't mind if I get high at the weekend.

Well, this temp job is in a call center, and it may turn into full time if I do well enough, so I can understand why ... sorta. The only time I've ever had to take a piss test for a job before was for a factory job that paid really well and supposedly had a great future. I think I worked there about three months before they laid us all off.
