Random Thanksgiving bits

-- Apparently my seventeen-year-old cousin, who has dyed her hair black and now looks (by the majority of my family's assessment) like Violet from The Incredibles, has a lip piercing. Which her friend did for her at home instead of her getting it done by a professional. Yeah, okay.

-- I was sitting between my dad and uncle while they watched the Cowboys game and I screwed around on the internet waiting to leave, and when I put on Christian/Olli videos to kill time, both of them immediately got interested when the video cut to a scene of Christian and Olli making out, but only because they saw the subtitles and found it hilarious I was hooked on a German soap opera. They didn't really give a damn about the two hot guys on my computer sticking their tongues down each other's throats.

-- I showed my other cousin the Muppet "Bohemian Rhapsody", which made him laugh.

-- Aaaaand nobody managed to say anything uncomfortably racist, at least not while I was around, which was only half of the night since I spent most of it in another part of the house attempting to write while my painkillers started to wear off and my tooth started to throb.

I was at my aunt's (not really an aunt, but close enough) and her husband is extremely old-school conservative America, Fuck Yeah! New Yorker. The most interesting thing I heard from him after dinner is that he refuses to buy produce that was shipped in from Mexico because he doesn't think their agricultural standards are up to ours. Also, he wants to boycott Adidas because they want to make the official NBA uniforms in Asia instead of America like they used to be.

I got off easy. My evil uncle refused to show up. Apparently he's mad at my aunt for voting for Obama. :D
