Today I went in for overtime and for an hour or so I was the only person in the rather large section I work in. I can't claim that I didn't slack off at least a tad. And the two or three others who showed up weren't people I knew very well at all, so I mostly spent the day delightfully alone at my wee little cubicle just listening to my audiobooks and whatnot.
And then I came home and got to watch a bit of the curling. And I guess there's more curling at 10 p.m. on CNBC, too. Seriously, it's not the Winter Olympics until you've seen some curling and watched the Jamaican bobsledders, and the Jamaican team didn't make the cut this year. It's kind of why I prefer the Summer Olympics, ignoring the fact that the Summer Olympics happen, you know, when it's warm. My favorite is still during the last Summer Games when one night at two in the morning I watched the powerwalkers walk in an oval for two straight hours. It was hypnotic.
Speaking of things that are hypnotic, I just saw the Hot Tub Time Machine trailer. What ... I don't even ... no, seriously, dude, where IS my car?
Here, have an adorable little girl hogging all the cute:

Date: 2010-02-21 02:44 am (UTC)The commentators were critiquing the walking. And the techniques, and who was doing it better than others. It was the BEST OLYMPIC SPORT EVER.

Date: 2010-02-21 01:26 pm (UTC)The preciseness of the technique and judging is ridiculous. Very hypnotic.

Date: 2010-02-23 09:12 pm (UTC)I haven't seen any curling yet (beyond that bit on The Colbert Report), but then what I've been watching has been the NBC coverage Mom's been taping, not any of the cable channel spillover.
