Let me just say that I would be a lot less stressed about the possibility of my job releasing me from my contract along with a majority of the rest of the temps in a week and a half if:

... they would man up already and admit they're going to release anybody at all, rather than repeatedly ducking and dodging a straight answer and being all "Oh, HR's still checking into that" instead.

... they'd follow that up by informing the people they plan on keeping that they're staying.

... the temp agency were likely to have jobs lined up for us to do following us being released from our contracts. But they won't be, because even if you simply divide us up by our respective temp agencies, the sheer number of temps being released means there will be a metric fuckton of newly laid-off folks at my own temp agency.

... I wasn't terrified that suddenly finding myself without a job again would bring on another bout of writer's block.

Also, I haven't written anything all month and I'm starting to think the whole diet/exercise thing isn't working. FFFFFFFFFFML.

I JUST SAW THAT COMMERCIAL FOR THE FIRST TIME HALF AN HOUR AGO. I was like "Is that a commercial? That's too awesome to be a commercial. o_o"

That ad? One take. Real pull-away shower, on a boat deck built on a beach (Malibu, I heard) and a real horse, all in-camera except for stuff like the oyster and the diamonds and the bottle. Cool. I first saw it at a theater that was showing last week's Lost on the big screen, and the audience hooted, hollered and cheered.

That commercial is the equivalent of Old Spice walking up to an Axe Body Wash ad on the playground and singing "Top That" from Teen Witch.
