As I said on Twitter, I kind of expected her to collapse during the director's acceptance, and it got worse with the best picture. In a good way! But I almost wanted to rush into my TV and give her a paper bag to breathe into.
I just love how she got maybe two feet backstage with her directing Oscar before they announced Best Picture, and in between camera flashes you could see her standing there stunned all, "What? What's going on? What's happening?"
I just discovered Bigelow in the last year after falling in love with "Near Dark". When I heard her name nominated for "Hurt Locker" I thought "too bad 'Avatar' is going to win everything" -- and then it didn't! YAY!
