I was curious if I was the only one shipping Lee and Crystal, so I searched interests for Lee Dewyze because searching for Crystal's name didn't bring up any shipping comms. (Aw, but ... but Crystal and the Magnificent Sausagefest!)

I'm unsurprised there's no Lee/Crystal comm. I'm equally unsurprised there's a Lee/Andrew comm. And the Lee/Casey comm ... okay, two pretty tastes taste pretty together. I get that.

But WHY IN THE FLYING SPAGHETTI MONSTER'S SPARKLY MAGICAL NAME IS THERE A LEE/AARON COMM?

It's not even that Aaron is five. Okay, okay, so maybe part of it is that Aaron is five. Is there anything sexual about him at all? Even a little bit? Don't you figure that if he does have a girlfriend they walk down the street swinging their clasped hands and singing Disney songs along with tiny animated woodland creatures and occasionally Eskimo-kissing?

O what? I haven't been keeping up with AI, but maybe fangirls are hoping for something epic like the two Davids in the previous, previous season?

... oh, man, that would totally explain it.

It still seems like they're trying too hard to me, because with the Davids I didn't even watch and I can still buy Cook would put an arm around Archie's shoulders and say, "Hey, let's go in the back and make out." And Archie being all, "Oh, okay!" because, you know, David Cook is adorable.

Whereas ... okay, Lee is hot and cuddly, but Aaron's mom probably told him he couldn't be alone with paint mixers.

Maybe it's that very difference, kind of like the opposites attract thing fangirls are hoping more of? I think the idea is charming (I am a sucker for the older-younger men pairing), but I haven't watched any episodes so I can't say more than this. XD

Watch, you'll be so desperate for Lee!fic, you'll start reading Lee/Aaron fic. XDDD
