Okay, so.

It's four thousand degrees outside and I'm fucking THRILLED. I'm always so much happier when I'm sweltering hot. My trainer at work was arguing today that it's better when it's colder because you can always warm up and I was like, "But you don't understand. I'm never warm enough." I swear to God I'm cold-blooded or something.

And now I'm watching AI. I think Crystal won. I really do. I love Lee, I do, and I think he's going to do well no matter how things turn out because I think this season has been one hell of a confidence booster for him. But Randy's "It was a little pitchy in the beginning ..." meme was pretty dead-on tonight. His beginnings were off, and if *I'm* noticing, that's not good, 'cause when it comes to music I'm a moron.

Meanwhile, Crystal ... "Me and Bobby McGee". "Black Velvet". "Up To The Mountain". Baby brought her A-game tonight, and it was beautiful.

Up to the Mountain made me fucking CRY.

And whoever is responsible for lounging-up the arrangement on The Boxer needs to be shot, not only did it suck but it drowned out Lee's vocals. (Not that he would've beat Crystal tonight anyway because... HOLY SHIT, CRYSTAL. But he's better than what we got to hear tonight, IMO.)

That last performance was so incredibly beautiful. If she doesn't win after that I'll be SHOCKED.

Lee can be so good -- his cover of "The Beautiful People" is absolutely gorgeous, and I wish he would have been able to have that rather than "Beautiful Day" -- but tonight it was just a matter of questionable choices and smothering production and he tried, poor thing.

I seriously thought that before tonight, Lee was going to run away with this… especially since "Hallelujah" was the most blatant vote pandering since the Blake/Jordin finale. But after tonight? Clearly Crystal's to lose.

I'll admit I'm a little biased, though, because I could just never get behind Lee's voice. This is when I wish that Siobhan never crashed and burned.

I adore both of them, but Lee kind of got hosed, you know? I wanted a "The Boxer" like on his hometown visits (minus the crazy crying. maybe). But I think he sounded better than her on the first round.

The other two songs - man. He got stuck with some really crappy song choices, and I feel for him.

Oh well, the two of them together makes me so freaking happy and one day they're going to tour together and it'll be like Garth Brooks/Trisha Yearwood, minus the many years not together as a couple and the baggage and shit.

I am so glad Crystal got good song choices tonight. Because, while I love Lee and will buy his CD the minute it comes out, Crystal's voice just moves me more. Though, whoever made her wear that dress and those heels during "Black Velvet" should probably be fired, because that was ten kinds of awkward all around until she was able to stand relatively in one place.

I didn't even vote at last year's finale, but this time, I'm dialing.

That outfit during "Black Velvet" was so unfortunate. I mean, she did what she could with it, but I should be concerned about her singing, not whether she's going to fall down the stairs on live TV. And she looked most gorgeous during the last song, when she was pretty much in what she normally wears a black top and dark jeans and those awesome fugly boots of hers.

I'm the opposite--I get so tired and stressed in the heat; I'd much rather deal with being cold.

I thought Crystal was transcendent tonight. I really hope she puts "Bobby McGee" on her album, the full version. I would so buy that.

If I could sponsor a vacation for you out to California during August - oh, man, ninety degree heat and not a speck of humidity to be found. Heavenly.

I'm the exact same way! You are not alone!

Plus if I work up a sweat below 75 deg I start itching really bad. I don't see how people exercise in the winter.
