Aug. 16th, 2010 10:26 amThis is the conversation I had earlier with Progressive, who I should mention have already clarified that this falls under my deductible. (Hi, I work in insurance, I knew that.)
Rep: "We're going to send someone to your mechanic to assess the damage, and they should arrive in the next 24-48 hours, so you should tell your mechanic to hold off on repairing the car until they arrive."
Me: "... yeah, I kind of need the car tonight, and he's reliable enough to get the car fixed today."
Rep: "Well, see, that could be a problem --"
Me: "..."
Oh, no, you guys! If they don't assess the damage on the car they might not not give me any fucking money to pay for it.

Date: 2010-08-16 02:31 pm (UTC)I knew they were going to refuse to pay, they knew they were going to refuse to pay, scientists in the frigging Antarctic probably knew they were going to refuse to pay, but they had to sit on claims for MONTHS. It made me crazy.
