This website is my new best friend. With the exception of that Tripod thingy that pops up every time I do something on there, but blergh.
Lookie! *points* Someone did a "Poseidon Adventure" musical! I think I'm in love. *swoon*

Date: 2004-05-18 04:10 pm (UTC)1) Download and install Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/). IIRC, pop-up blocking is on by default, though it doesn't stops those particular ones.
2) Using Firefox, go to the Firefox's Extensions (http://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/) page and install AdBlock (http://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/#adblock) (and whatever else strikes your fancy. Tabbrowser extension, All-in-one gestures and Flashblock are popular choices).
3) Stop and restart Firefox after installing the extension(s) (they usually warn you that it's required). There should be an "AdBlock" item on the left of the status bar (bottom of the window). Click on it, and type http://*/RealMedia/ads/* in the "New Filter" area.
4) Browse with Firefox. You shouldn't have any more problems seeing the contents of the sites, at least until they change their advertising method. And new filters are easy to add anyway.
