Bosslady was shocked -- shocked, I tell you! -- when I asked her how we were going to handle Thursday. Apparently, even though I've been telling her I'd be leaving on Thursday afternoon for two months every single bloody time she asked me about this trip, she hasn't heard me any of those times. You know, I'm seriously starting to think I'm speaking in tongues and I just don't know it.

Also, yesterday I bought the new Bertie Bott's beans, and it's got three new flavors -- soap, earthworm, and spaghetti. I bought them for my brother, but I'm seriously fighting the temptation to open them to try those spaghetti jellybeans. Mmm ... spaghetti ...

Reminds me of my father calling me the Sunday before last to ask what time to expect me for the weekly visit when I'd told him repeatedly that I'd be out of the state that weekend... (Though in his case, I can usually chalk his inability to remember anything I tell him up to inebriation.)
