Random midnight thought

I think it's horribly unfair that when I sing along to the "Once More With Feeling" songs and I get to "Wish I Could Stay", I have to sing Giles' part because I can't hit Tara's high notes. And when I'm singing along to the "Chicago" soundtrack, my easiest song is "When You're Good to Mama", which may have more to do with attitude than the fact that I'm an alto and it's easier for me to sing low than high.

Then again, I'm not really the best singer on the planet, so maybe I shouldn't be trying any of them. Especially since I think I'm starting to hear dogs in three counties howl.

Same here. I think I've given up on my second alto/second soprano and have slid blissfully into contralto status. But when I need to, it's good to know those pipes are there.
