So, my birthday's on September 29th, and like a five-year-old, I'm counting the days. ('Cause, you know, I'm spoiled like that.)

And you know what I really, really, really want for my birthday? (I mean, aside from every DVD on the planet, nearly any male cast member of the LOTR movies or the X-Men movies to do with as I wish, or enough money to swim in.)

I want fic. Lots and lots and lots of fic.

I want fucked-up crossovers and twisted pairings. I want fanfics in weird fandoms written by authors I know for writing in entirely different fandoms. I want insane plotlines and ludicrous attempts at canon-juggling. I want fan fiction for shows I used to watch when I was a kid and stories for fandoms that don't get nearly enough fanfic written about them. And I want all of those fics to be really, really, really long.

So, you know, if you're wondering ... *whistles innocently*

EDIT: You know, more apocalypse fic in any and all fandoms wouldn't be a bad thing, either.

Huh. It's weird that you would request this, because ever since The Discovery Health Channel started showing Chicago Hope every night at seven, I've been positively ITCHING to do some kind of Dr. Geiger fanfic (that's Mandy Patinkin, babe. SO cool).

Now I'm thinking about Dr. Geiger and the host from Nickelodeon's Double Dare (Mark Summers, I think his name was, I'll have to look it up) in a post-apocalyptic future world. Kind of Mad Max-y. Lots of leather, chains, that sort of thing. Maybe an eyepatch...
