Question about the "dead in canon dead here" thing. What about the crew at the 4077th, 'cos a)they got to go home at the end what with the Korean war being over and all and b)they're all going to either be old or dead by now - so is that fandom off limits?

Well, if you could find a way to get them into the world, I don't see why not. If you wanted them young, you could always rip through a temporal/spatial rift or simply find some weird way to de-age them. (Say, if you wanted to make one of them Immortal or something. For that, you'd probably have to double-check with whoever dibs Highlander just to make sure you don't trample on their storyline, but that probably wouldn't be a problem with another fandom, I don't think.)
