Well, that's one Christmas present out of the way. :) Now I only have to get one more for my brother, one for my dad, and two for my mom, and I'm covered on the family front, at least.

Also, I bought myself a new sweatshirt, which is my only splurge this week but isn't really much of a splurge anyway because it was only a little over twenty bucks. So tomorrow, somewhere in between writing jags, I'm going to do all of my laundry, and hopefully if Bosslady wants to go hang out, I can talk her into going to a bar after work tonight or something so I can get that out of the way.

Man, I need to make myself a new Christmas icon this year. Hmm.

EDIT: A great article by a songwriter who approves of filesharing. And I totally agree with him, because I don't own a lot of CDs, but of the ones I do own, a good third of them are Punjabi dance music, something I never would have discovered I loved without filesharing.

My current favorite band, that I use for all my writing music? Hedningarna, who I discovered by screwing around on Napster. I'd never have even heard of them, otherwise. Now I own four of their albums. And this is a bad thing, how? Stupid RIAA.

Whenever I'm in Borders and I wander over to the music section, it's to the Indian music. (Which is always so incredibly cheap. Yay!) The RIAA is just biting themselves in the ass on this one. Where the hell do they think I want to get my music suggestions from? MTV and Top 40 radio? Yeah, thanks, but no thanks.

Same here! Monsoon Wedding got me on an Indian music kick, from which I have not been able to escape.

I usually start from movie soundtracks and work outward. Bend It Like Beckham, The Guru, and Monsoon Wedding are good ones to start out with. I've got a lot of Darshan, Panjabi MC, and Jasbir Jassi on my iPod right now.

Hee. All this talk of Indian dance music makes me want to pick up another CD from Borders before I go home today. :)

I skimmed over this, and I totally thought you said 'flesharing'.

For a minute I totally thought you were some sort of generous zombie. Imagine my disappointment!
