You know you've been watching too much Law & Order: Special Victims Unit when Novak goes to the one judge's house at night to get something signed and finds five of the judges playing poker together, and your immediate reaction is, "Ooo, get that judge's signature -- he makes all of the good decisions. Or get that lady judge's signature -- she's really snarky!" Hee. I know it's the L&O Pervert Hour, but it's got all the good cops on it. :)

And you know, just for the record, a real resolution -- to finish The Monsters of Minooka. Yeah, I could go with "get it published," but I'm trying to keep it a little more realistic.

EDIT: I plan to ring in the new year not by getting wasted, not by watching TV, but in the middle of working on fic. You know, get the year off to a good start. :) *goes back to finishing that Hurley fic if it kills me*

ANNOYED VIEWER OF EDIT: You know what bothers me the most about that commercial for Joan and Melissa Rivers doing Globes commentary on the red carpet for the TV Guide Channel? You know, aside from the obvious? It's that they have an "actress" walking down a red carpet with her dress tucked into her underwear in the back. And no, that's not what bothers me, either. It's that the dress is light grey, the underwear is bright red with big dark blue polka dots, and no woman would wear those under a light grey dress because you could see them right through the fabric.

I know it's supposed to be funny, but mostly it just makes me want to hit them both harder with whatever weapon I can get my hands on if I ever come across either one of them in public.

I know I've been watching too much SVU when I start actually paying attention to the case and the seriously messed-up people involved in it, and not just blindly lusting after Chris Meloni. *grins*

HAHAHAHAHA! Sorry..I'm watching the SVU marathon too and I thought the same thing. I'm still a dork, but not a dork alone.

Hee. My favorite judge is the one with the frizzy hair, the glasses, and the mustache. He's always the first one to call the lawyers on their bullshit calls. :)

Is it a good thing or a bad thing that I read the post and said, "I KNOW THAT EPISODE!", and then read this comment and said "I KNOW THAT JUDGE! I love him!"? It's bad, isn't it?

Almost as bad as the fact that MUNCH IS ON AND I'M NOT PAYING ATTENTION. *disowns self*

Hee. That's not bad. It shows excellent taste. Mm-hmm. ;)

I'm amused because I just flipped it back on and my immediate reaction was, "Hey, look, Alex has bangs! I haven't seen this episode!" I'm supposed to be paying attention to the plot, damn it.

(*snerk* I've had that same reaction to Stabler ... and Fin ... and Olivia ... and Munch. Like I said, all the good cops. :))

They're the awesomest cops ever. I tried to get into L&O and L&O: CI, I really did, but I just kept thinking "Liv isn't heeeeere.." and going back to my cracky pervy goodness.

(Regarding Alex w/bangs, that episode makes me sad. But that may just be because I stubbornly cling to the entirely unsupported belief that Alex and Olivia were totally doin' it.)

Just saying hi! I added you to my friends list and thought I should introduce myself.

I'm ringing in the new year doing the same thing.

And, sadly, I know that episode of SVU. And who all the judges are. I like the female judge with the salt-and-pepper hair.

I thought I was the only one with that feeling last night! I love SVU, and had my man not had to work at 7 a.m., I would have held strong and watched all 24 hours.

Dammit, I want Foxtel *mourns*

And is it a sign of having too much SVU-watching time in the past when I can immediately identify from your post what episode you're watching, who the victim is, and probably (if I really put my mind to it) what colour tie Chris Meloni is wearing?
