Oh, crap. I just became that person who didn't know it was snowing until somebody else mentioned it on LJ. *headsmack*

EDIT: If anybody wants to see a clearer version of the Fantastic Four trailer, here it is. So far, I don't really have any misgivings. I mean, the Doctor Doom thing ... yeah. It's a stretch of the canon, but then again, they've stretched canon before in X-Men so that it'll fit the film, so I'm leaving it leeway until I actually see the movie. (Now? Can I see it now? Pleeeeeease?)

I've got a window behind me, and until someone in my office yelled "hey, it's snowing," I had no idea . . .

Wheeeee-downtown DC with inaugural security AND snow! Aren't I going to have an exciting afternoon!

Oh, God, don't even get me started on the inauguration. All the fun of extra security and all of the businesses closing making my job that much more difficult tomorrow, and then we get the fun of those radio commercials that refer to it as the first inauguration since September 11th. That's it, ride that train right into the next presidential term. *grrrrr*

Ugh, tell me about it. I will so enjoy feeling like a prisoner in my own home tomorrow. I love living in the city, but tomorrow is going to SUCK.

Amen. I"m a commuter from hell and gone and boy is it going to suck my left tit to come in tommorow. I feel your pain.

Ugh-you have to work tomorrow? Good lord. I live three blocks from work and I still don't have to come in. Jesus H. Christo.

Given how bad traffic was in my neighborhood during the recent Rite Aid and Mystery Van fiascos, I can't even fathom what tomorrow is going to be like . . .

Yeah. I work at a museum and they wouldn't give me the day off. Thank god that I only work there for another two week and a half. Come to me, new job with paid federal holidays!

I'm taking metro like usual, but I figure that I'll be leaving home even earlier than usual.

Yikes-I hope you're nowhere near the Mall. Bring a stick on the metro to bat away the tourists . . .

I think that qualifies for cruel and unusual punishment.

But on any other day-cool area! I love Chinatown, especially with the new movie theater and Matchbox.

I whole heartedly agree. THis is why I'm glad I'm quitting in a week and a half.

Yeah, it's great for lunch. I have friends meet me all the time and go to one of the many restaurants.

The sick thing is, I really want to go, and I can't. I know it's Bush and I loathe the man, but I've never seen a presidential inauguration.

You won't be missing much, I promise

I went to Clinton's inaug in 1997. I was a sophomore in college. I stood in the not the furthest but not the nearest section. Clinton looked to be the size of a Han Solo action figure. It was crowded and freezing and I was on my feet for HOURS, but I was excited because it was A, the first presidential election I voted in, and B, I liked the guy.

Hopefully in four years, there will be an inauguration to go for you with a better President. And it will be warmer . . .

I went to Bush 1's inauguration, I think, when I was 8. My parents didn't vote for him, but we were doing all of those 'character building' things. I was cold, thirsty, and my feet hurt. That's about all I remember.

I flip Jeb Bush's house off every time I drive past it, though. That's gotta count for something.
