The more I go through my list of prospective teammates if I want to try out for TAR 9 and cross people out, the more I realize that you people may become my candidate pool. *eyes you all furtively*

You can be the "people who met on the internet and never met in real life before the show" team.

And don't look at me, I have bad feet and no patience. I'll just cheer you on from my couch.

Well, we'd have to meet for the application video, but still. :)

You could totally just have each person film where they are and edit it together -- maybe include footage of each of you at a computer chatting to the others as you plan your audition? It's such a good gimmick, it just might work.

Hey, that could be a neat angle, though. The First LiveJournal.com team!!

But you don't want me. I'm chubby and have blood sugar issues.

Hee. I've thought about that angle, before.

Hey, they've certainly never done it before. ;)

My mom: "You and [[livejournal.com profile] ifritah] should pretend to be a lesbian couple and apply for Race! They've only had male gay couples before! She'd make out with you onscreen for half a million dollars!"
Me: "Uh."
My mom: *deep in thought* "We'd just have to make sure your grandma didn't watch..."

That would be awesome if you got people online to do it with you.

Well, if I did do it, I'd want it to be somebody who's been on my friends list for a while and responds a lot. It wouldn't seem fair to just pick somebody I didn't already know pretty good at this point.

I'm game....and I already have a passport.... :) Misfit team? TAR-devotee and Never-watched-it team?

Oooo, could you imagine the damage two Misfits could cause on that show? *cackles maniacally*

You so have to watch the next season when it starts next week. 'Cause if you're still up for it after getting the gist of it, I'd be game. :)

Unfortunately

They're only accepting family teams of 4 this time around.

My best friend and I were going to apply...

Do you know when they'll start accepting applications for TAR 9?

Considering the space between seasons, I'd guess about six to eight months. (Which gives all of us plenty of time to get passports, get in shape and get prepared. :))

But then how would you make snarky comments about all the TAR teams? Or maybe you would... Hold TAR tryouts. *g*

Oh! And can you imagine the kind of advantage you'd have? You have the entire internet at your fingertips! You could call people for help!

True. I'd have to go away for a couple months, and then I'd show up and I wouldn't be able to say a damn thing. That could be tricky. :)

Dude - I'd totally cheer you on - but you definitely wouldn't want me - I'm claustrophobic and afraid of heights!
